Abandoned Asylums of New England Volume 2 will soon be available. It will feature all new photography, with some additional institutions that weren’t in the first book.

 


 
Opened on May 13th, 1878
The State Lunatic Hospital at Danvers was erected, under the supervision of prominent Boston architect Nathaniel J, Bradlee, in an extremely remote location.
 



Was abandoned from June 24, 1992 to January 12 ,2005. Over fourteen structures on the highlands, all have since been demolished.
